Parker, AZ - The Best In The Desert, BlueWater Parker 425, presented by Impact is a tough way to start the year. 425 miles of just about everything Mother Nature can throw at an offroad racer. Deep sand, silt beds, rocks and huge boulders all make up the Parker course. This year was free from the flash floods and mud seen a couple years back but the lack of precipitation yielded choking dust instead. The Trophylite teams would have to rely heavily on their General Tires, Method Race Wheels, Maxima Racing Oils, K&N Filters and FOX Racing Shox to survive.
Metro Motorsports Debuts at the Legendary Parker '425'February 13, 2014
Parker, AZ - Metro Motorsports kicked off the 2014 off road racing season in dramatic fashion at the legendary Best In The Desert Parker 425. Located on the boarder of California and Arizona, the town of Parker has played host to some of the most iconic off road racing action that has ever taken place. Deep sand whoops, rocky goat trails and long straight sand washes take no prisoners and isn’t for the faint at heart.
Metro Motorsports is a newly formed team but is by no means new to the sport of off road racing. With thirty plus years of combined experience, Metro Motorsports is more than prepared to take on the entire 2014 Best In The Desert racing series and the 2014 TrophyLite racing series at full speed.
TrophyLite Racer Ben Abatti III Left Nothing To ChanceMarch 18, 2014
Las Vegas, NV - There are two schools of thought in off-road racing; you can out think your competition or just flat outrun them. At the General Tire Mint 400 presented by Polaris, Ben Abatti III and defending champ PJ Guglielmo chose the latter. The Mint 400 is run outside Las Vegas, Nevada in some rather nasty desert terrain. It’s known for chewing up race trucks and drivers. To go flat out from the drop of the green flag takes guts and a deep trust in your crew and equipment. For Ben Abatti, his confidence came from a major upgrade to his Trophylite race truck.

Known for being the toughest off-road race in North America, The Mint 400 is a compilation of; dry lakebeds, rock gardens, and some of the nastiest terrain that off road racing has ever seen. It is without a doubt that The Mint 400 holds one of the most prestigious titles in all of off road racing, if there is ever a race to win, it’s the Mint 400.
Before the sun was even up, Metro Motorsports lined up to take the green flag and prepared for what could be the hardest race...
Alamo, NV - The countless twists and turns that make up the Best in the Desert Silver State 300 course, round 3 of the General Tire Trophylite race series, were somewhat overshadowed by the twists and turns of fate that took place in the closing miles of the race. After hours of flat-out running, the top five Trophylite trucks all had a shot at the win. Keith Sato had the speed to come out on top winning by only seconds.
The Metro Honda / Metro Acura hard charger award was too tough to call at this race; every team was pushing it to the maximum. It was decided to roll the 1K prize over until Vegas to Reno making the pot $2,000 when the Trophylite series takes on the longest off-road race in the United States August 14-16.

Several Lead Changes and a Sprint to the FinishAugust 19, 2014
Reno, Nv - You would think that the longest off road race in the United States, Best in the Desert’s Vegas to Reno (V2R), would be won by a measured, conservative pace. Due to the level of competition in the Trophylite Racing Series, that wasn’t the case. After a long day of racing that included numerous lead changes, the eventual winner was determined after a desperate sprint for the finish. Known more for its high speed sections, the V2R course has plenty of rocks and silt to negotiate as it runs through the desolate landscape of Northern Nevada.

After Saturday’s heat race, Louis Chamberland, driving Jeff Mortis’ truck, had only seconds over 2nd place finisher Todd Jackson and 3rd place Logan Holladay. Chamberland set the fastest lap of the weekend on his way to the win and picked up the bonus money that goes with it.
Red Letter Day on General Tire Grabbers for Ben Abatti IIIDecember 9, 2014
Henderson, Nv - When Ben Abatti III lined up to take the green flag at the final Best In The Desert race of 2014, the Henderson 250, his fate was in his own hands. He was sitting in third place in the Trophylite standings but because it was a double points race, the entire top five all had a legitimate shot of taking the championship. Ben knew he would have to stay ahead of the contenders if the title was to be his.
